Fifty Shades of Grey News and More!

Hello everyone!  Just wanted to remind you that today is the LAST day to vote for our summer reading series and that our in-person meeting for Fifty Shades of Grey is THIS Saturday!  We've got a lot of things going on right now, but I know we're all excited to talk about this book.

There's a lot of information out there about our current book club selection, so I thought I'd round it all up for you!  (More after the jump)

E L James's website- it's just as dark and lush as you would expect.

The books just got banned in Florida.

Here's Entertainment Weekly's hub for all things Grey.  It's got a lot of information about the movie, especially who fans want cast as the main characters.

Speaking of casting, there are a ton of rumors out there, here are just a couple of the actors supposedly in the running to play Christian and Ana.

Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries)- http://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/ian-somerhalder-wants-to-play-christian-in-fifty-shades-of-grey-2012244

Chris Pine (Star Trek)- http://www.accesshollywood.com/chris-pine-open-to-fifty-shades-of-grey-role-calls-star-trek-sequel-relentless_article_63798

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart (Twilight)- http://celebs.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474981279147

My vote is for Ian Somerhalder!  What do you think?

  1. I agree with you that Somerhalder would be the perfect one to play Christian. Who do you think should play Ana?

  2. I think he would be good, but I think he needs a British accent. The whole time I was reading the book, Christian Grey always spoke with a British accent. I'm not sure about Ana.
I did a search for how many times the phrase "Holy ___(cow, crap,...whatever)___" was used in the book. 160 times!! Holy repetition!

  3. I didn't think Christian was British. I thought he was from the Seattle area since that's where his family was.
